WORK – Foreigners on Earth
After a forced landing, a father and son find themselves on Earth a thousand years after humanity deserted the planet. The father, seriously wounded, then entrusts his son with the mission to recover a beacon of distress at 100 km from their position which will allow them to ask for help...
Against the background of ecological science fiction, this initiatory journey that focuses on the intimate (the relationship between a father and his son) and minimalist action (point of overbidding here) is a survival for kids to the sober staging and the actors involved (even if Jaden Smith does not have the charisma of his father), where chills are under control and natural landscapes of all beauty. And although the scientific beliefs (recruited by the press at its release) of this family egotrip may have played in its failure (unjustified), there is no doubt that the general public has seen nothing but fire.

With Pure Stream technology (up to 80 Mbit/s with a minimum connection of 115 Mb/s), Sony streaming service BRAVIA CORE is able to offer a visual experience worthy of a 4K Ultra HD. And boosted by theIMAX Enhanced (which de facto incorporates the latest digital remastering technology developed by IMAX), this image encoded in HDR10 is splendid from beginning to end.
Even more flattering than the previous Blu-ray (mastered in 4K) and devoid of its tiny silver emulsion (a home DNR has been applied with precision), it shows a significant gain in definition (cf. the incredible sharpness of the backgrounds) and displays truly fantastic details (the fatigue on faces, textures of the environment and Kitai's intelligent combination).
Reworked to appear more realistic, the colorimetric palette has more luxuriant hues (green vegetation, water blue and lava reds), the contrast rate is enhanced (denser blacks and purer whites) and the light sources display insolent brightness (light of the day and reflections are demonstrative to the possible).
SON – Dad where are you?
Rich in surround effects (dasteroid storm, animal attacks), charged in low mastoc (serious ones descend very low) and effectively delivering the partition inspired by James Newton Howard, these dynamic, immersive, explosive sound tracks (the ship crash) and great clarity (dialogues) are really engaging.
In all respects, if it is only they are no longer encoded in DTS-HD MA since proposed with the « its IMAX signature by DTS » (a loss of vigor is felt vis-à-vis the physical support) or in Dolby Digital Plus (untested coding), they urge to activate a virtualization DSP to give the fauna (such as the eagle) and flora (the rust of the leaves) the verticality necessary for their release.
