WORK – It's the end of the world!
The Mayans warned us. December 21, 2012 will mark the end of the world. As the tectonic plates begin to slide and the scientific community secretly panics international politics, the first material and human damage bears witness to the prophecy in progress. Jackson Curtis, a failed novelist and divorced father, embarks with his family on a dangerous journey to save his life and that of his loved ones...
With 2012, Roland Emmerich reconnects with the film catastrophe by offering us a best of films of the genre (a little bit of Pic de Dante, of Deep Impact of the Day after and Poseidon). Thus, the film alternates cataclysm on the ground, in the air and on the sea, at a frenetic rhythm with scenes of visually demented anthologies (dizzying SFX).
And if the clichés are not avoided (such as the American President's speech, the recomposed family, the rescue of the dog) and the scenario does not shine by its originality, the adventure is thrilling and the spectacle always generous.
So here's a highly spectacular blockbuster that makes it a little too much in all areas!
