WORK – American hell in Libya
In Benghazi, on the evening of September 11, 2012, a CIA base and the US diplomatic mission were attacked by overarmed and superior attackers who killed the ambassador. Six security agents, including two French, have the courage to resist, their fight will last 13 hours...
Surprisingly critical of the American bureaucracy, this war film doped with testosterone is a contemporary western with striking realism and lasting tension that comes out heavy artillery during memorable confrontations.
IMAGE – A land of chaos
From pure Michael Bay juice with a sharp definition, a chiseled piqué, unreal details, ultra-saturated warm colors, max contrasts and blacks of an abyssal depth.
Still superior to those of its HD counterpart, the images delivered by this 4K Ultra HD stand out by more refined textures (face features, injuries, military equipment, rubble), an expanded colorimetric palette that adds vibrance to many shades (blue sky, orange flames), stronger whites, improved blacks and much more intense light sources (light of the day, artificial lighting, heat of the fires, etc.). An absolute top demo.
SON – War and war
A dynamic, wide-ranging and goldsmith-precision warrior mix where it explodes and unfurls at all times. Effects such as atmospheres invite on all speakers, the score is epic as desired and the bass are colossal.
Even so effective, the VF (on a smaller scale and with less detailed surrounds) cannot compete with the VO that literally plunges us into the heart of the action. In any case, it is only on the latter that the high-rise scene is active (airplanes, fans, shots, explosions, bombardments, debris and passing by). And it would be a shame to pass when it is known that it is not the last to climb to the front. A top demo of every moment.
CONCLUSION – Trying impossible is possible!
In Fort Alamo mode wrestling with jihadists from Ansar al-Sharia, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is the main support for feeling the chaos of the Battle of Benghazi... Delivered here as an intense survival in unknown terrain!
