Why such a low-seller and dubious pink poster? Why go out Wanted : Dead in the middle of February, the very day of Valentine's Day, or the best time to cut bloodthirsty flesh... What a funny timing too, while a certain Hogwarts Legacy Did you get all the attention when you came down a few days earlier? Why such an oven after such sales trailers? And most importantly, why are you talking about it today? So many questions remain unanswered... That said, water has sunk under the bridges and there are many things to say about this model of crashing in order, despite sincere qualities and affiliation Ninja Gaiden that can only titillate us. Without anyone waiting for it, a patch was born this year bringing its lot of well-come patches So revolution or another cooking failure? To aim at the stars, did the Sun's title burn the wings? Story of a schizophrenic experience between love and frustration.

Ramen Crisis

There is only one way to snoop on the Internet to appreciate the overwhelmingly and outrageously violent critical returns against Wanted : Dead. No intention to contradict this general finding today. It's not a completely broken and tasteless game but it must be noted that once the experience has been travelled, the Sun title will not remain in the annals. Far from the extremes and rather stuck in an in-between, since he still has assets to charm, would be only for his chaotic but delusional gamedesign.

One year after its release, this game published by 110 Industries So he offered an update without shouting. What to feed the hope of a life-saving patch? Not really... The devs are again missing the opportunity to set back a beat-em all that ends just gusted on a swinging stretcher. Like a lost lover who was already laying a first rabbit, this second gallant date completes our hopes. The addition of barely a handful of extra blows as well as the reworked skill tree remains far too thin to revive the hearts. The breakout is always restricted, which is aberrant for a Beat的em All. It is all the more frustrating that it would have been enough for a few more attacks and two or three more weapons to change the situation.

This could have allowed for a more fun gameplay with more expression and upsurge for players, which is still not the case to date unfortunately. In the end, we find ourselves with a redundant game in the action, even though the difficulty is now better calibrated since the update. The level design remains sadly lazy. The fantastic artistic direction does not manage to make us forget this laziness, unlike a game like Ninja Gaiden 2. A little less for Razors EdgeOf course, except that his wanderings were freely forgiven by his solid gameplay.

Because of the poverty of the blows and a limited bestiary, we remain on his hunger. The whole thing never removes the horrible impression of constantly doing the same thing. Paradoxically the pleasure felt, and there are, evaporates over the days and hours. What a funny feeling you've experienced in the middle of a fight, when you slice an enemy into the katana and you're performing choreography eliminations of the most careful but still missing something. Add good feedback and the fun goes back to the gallop before disappearing immediately, caught up with a gameplay that can't renew itself. But why so much hatred?

Ninja Gaiden Complex

Such a limited gameplay is difficult to understand, moreover for a game claiming opus Ninja Gaiden in 3D; those headed by Tomonobu Itagaki. One might think that the marketing team did not do the right thing, that to avoid playing the comparison with such caliber works was more judicious, despite the actual presence in the ranks of the Sun studio of former employees still active alongside itagaki. Moreover, the previous production of the studios, Valkyrie Elysium (command supervised by Square Enix) didn't look at the style at all Ninja Gaiden but rather on the side of Capcom and the Devil May Cry .

Nevertheless, Square Enix's beat-em all, which has also been very hard-hitting – commercially and critically, both in the press and in the game – was better off on all levels. Wanted : Dead Not a bad gameplay, far from it, but its wanderings are difficult to forgive. Things that jump so far that one can only assume, without leaving an arm, that the conditions of development have been really complicated.

Stacking on Wanted : Dead and on his gamedesign, it is to witness a disaster that is guessed behind the scenes. The signs of an infernal work swell; That's undeniable. It is as if the project had suffered a massive loss of data or that sheets of the specifications had been lost en route. Sun put us on our butt once we got to the end credits. We have to see the chaos of dubbing. There is a clear impression that pieces are missing, as if the puzzle had been deliberately assembled, forcefully and relentlessly, despite missing pieces. An endearing mess, but a mess anyway.

As for the lunar intrigue, it is quickly lost between clumsy sequences and interestless ellipses. The conclusion of the story does not even look like an end worthy of that name, that is to say. A linear title is expected where missions are chained, but Wanted : Dead he refuses by preferring to play the social card to slow the pace and unnecessarily lengthen the lifespan. The police station is far too large with all those countless colleagues to type in the discussion. Bank narration occupies a significant place in the experience, not to mention the dubious and absurd mini games – far from the success of those of a Like A Dragon. In short, it literally goes in every direction. For the best but especially for the worst...

Midnight Eye Gunsmith

Wanted : DeadIt's love cow! The game blows hot and cold, while one would like to love it passionately. Despite its mediocre narrative, however, the game is able to offer moments of bravery during sublime animated cinematics to achieve quality. On this point, the teams have put in place the means. The game is full of good intentions and generosity. The place occupied by the police station hub where mini games are offered comes from Sergei Kolobashkin. The artist arrived late on the project and he would have liked the experiment to be inspired by elements from the productions of the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio. A hypothesis that cannot be confirmed without an official statement on this subject.

This could explain many things, starting with the fact that the first trailers didn't focus on this aspect yet put forward in the final game. Maybe that's the starting point of this hellish mess that impacted the game design? It's hard to say for sure. On the other hand, even though it didn't help the soft, Sergei Kolobashkin's management didn't seem so bad at the start. Putting more emphasis on narrative, on relationships between characters, in addition to mini games could have been a winning formula.

Still remains a scenario that still has sympathetic ideas, even if the universe deserved better treatment. The story also did not really move during the development, if it is the character of Gunsmith, performed by Stefanie Joosten, which was originally to be playable. We recognize inspirations pioched in Dominion Tank Police and Cyber City Oedo 808, the pitch of which probably echoes that of Wanted : Dead. Hannah Stone stayed in prison but was offered the opportunity to lead a suspicious and socially deviant squad in the vein of a Squad Suicide. Too bad the emotions are to the absent subscribers.

What's funny here is that we're specifically called to mess up the mess and de-zinguing enemies in every direction, where the so-called moments « Life range » come and break the rhythm so unusually that it makes you smile. This offbeat side accentuates the general feeling of parody that the devs seemed to want. And if you still doubt the madness that reigns in Wanted : Dead, take a look at marketing campaign worn by Stefanie Joosten, improvised cook in a fictional culinary show. The actress also lends his features to Gunsmith, in addition to being vocally present in karaoke and on the soundtrack, in an animated clip in which his character also appears... A detonating and unusual mixture, as lunar as Remedy's narrative experiments and stagings, especially those experienced by Alan Wake and its associated meta-universe, coherence and control less for the Sun teams...

Are we disappointed at such a ruined potential? Let's not go by four paths, yes, the game leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, especially for those who expected a worthy heir of the beat-em all sauce Ninja Gaiden, whose last quality opus begin seriously to date. That said, we will keep a sincere and special affection for this cruel game as if we were caught up in Stockholm syndrome. A chaotic project with freewheel game design, implausible wanderings and flaws whose final rendering is without tail or head. Except that behind this tattered facade, Wanted : Dead distills some lunar but striking moments. Feeling during fighting remains satisfactory; the ambient madness, as well as the clumsy generosity of the soft make him cruelly endearing. We would like to cherish Wanted: Dead, although he refuses to give us back the favor. The cowly love in all its splendor! This truncated experience proves that Sun remains a talented studio without a doubt caught up with over-ambitious ambitions and a budget that is guessed to be limited. If the game were to end up on the stake for having unjustly made us dream, its ashes could perhaps be reborn a beat-em all able to tutoyer excellence. Who will live!

Scribe ninja escaped from the island of Shang Tsung and now living under perfusion of films, it is possible to see me on Falkor's back as I travel through imaginary worlds in search of a catharsis or inspiration. I am told that I am constantly guided by the martial values inherited from my youth in Jiang Hu.
