Living the incredible adventure of the aviation engineer Umberto Nobile through the eyes of her bitch Titina, this is the promise of the eponymous film currently going out in physical format. The opportunity to get back into this cute thing from a true story full of adventures!

A summary that has dog

Titina will find thanks to the eyes of the Italian explorer and aeronautic engineer Umberto Nobile, who will take her out of the peasy streets of Rome to take her to her side in the exploration of the Great North. Responding to the request of a Norwegian explorer wishing a airship to visit the North Pole, Nobile will indeed take the opportunity to enter history with his four-legged companion at his side...

While the true story recounted in this animated feature film intertwines the little personal motivations that eventually lead to enormous advances – and to some inevitable quarrels – the film highlights the close link between Nobile and her little bitch Titina. A terrier named here with reference to Billy Murray's eponymous song, to be listened to below.

An animation with a flair

So we're not gonna lie to each other, unlike the animated feature film that we were chronizing a while ago. Forbidden by dogs and Italians, Titina is intended for (toddlers) small... And no doubt history will delight them as much as it has touched its Norwegian director Kajsa Næss, soon conquered by this strange homeless dog fable propelled to the ends of the world.

However, its 2D animation – warm and sober – and the historical side of this exploration can also capture the attention of older spectators (and even titillate a bit of nostalgia so much Titina recalls the animated drawings of the Dantan). Besides, the references put forward by the director (Jacques Tati or Wes Anderson, just that!) have enough to put water in the mouth...

The real Umberto Nobile and his Titina.

Produced by the Norwegian studio Mikrofilm, Titina s Raphael Personnaz (who had already louvered in icy landscapes for In Siberian forests in 2016). In short, if you are looking for an informative animated film made from drawings old school, refreshing and intended for toddlers, do not go further; Titina who comes out these days in physical format will delight them.

Titina

Drinking the Stephen Kings as the apricot syrup of my native country, I first discovered cinema through its (often bad) adaptations. I'm married to Mrs. Wilkes as much as a persistent Stockholm syndrome, I am gradually opening up to videoclub films and B-series peasers.Today, I wander between my favorite cinemas, film festivals and the edges of Helvetic lakes much less calm than they look.
