Worse world than fashion... Behind Karl Lagerfeld's tinted glasses, there are many things that are readily hidden from the consumer. From the diktat of a cruel modeling to the production conditions of a whole textile industry, behind the cheap goods, fashion is above all a land conducive to fear. Christine (Eva Green) is a designer for a great brand at low prices. Struggled by panic attacks and violent panic attacks, Christine lives a daily life that has become ordeal, when suddenly a governess of Filipino origin breaks into the home. A fan of occult medicine, Diana trains her devotee « patient » in an unhealthy spiral, unless it's Christine's madness... Presented to Gérardmer, The Nocebo Effect is a well-interpreted drama, rather classical in form but effective in its message as its neat plastic! Release scheduled for 8 March 2023 in VOD, DVD and Blu-ray.

Lorcan Finnegan, director
Born in Dublin, Lorcan Finnegan studied graphic design before working as designer then editor and director. In 2004, he created his own company. Lovely Productions which allows him to make many commercial films. It's little by little that he slides from shorts to feature films. Without Name is first noticed in 2O16, then Vivarium presented to Gérardmer in 2020. The Nocebo Effect was also competing in the Vosges this year.
