WORK – The hammer mime
After being resurrected to the morgue by a mysterious and sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the city of Miles County on Halloween night where he targets Sienna Shaw, a teenager, and Jonathan, her younger brother.
Overwhelming pastiche of the 80s slasher, Terrifiing 2 Trash spill « great puppet » carrying to the naked enucleations, strippings and other lacerations. The staging of Damien Leone often made in the mismeasurement, the artisanal SFX (prosthetic effects to the old) do not lack enthusiasm and the murders, filled with tripails and hectolitres of hemoglobins, are horribly sadistic. Regressive to desire and extremely gore, this « midnight movie » For informed public has brought his evil clown into the Pantheon of Horrific Creatures of 7th Art. For lovers of the genre, a delicious sweetness!
IMAGE – Blood full screen
Less brilliant for free than the Blu-ray, the much more coherent image of this UHD Dolby Vision transfer (or HDR10+ depending on your hardware) better controls its contrasts (places are darker) and alives, without unwelcome oversaturation, its joyfully excessive colorimetric palette.
Blacks (slightly bluish) are no longer washed out, scenes plunged into darkness become more prominent, colors are more «badass » (the blood is now well red and no longer dark orange) and the lights appear as more supported and dazzling than in CSD (the reflections and the glow inflamed on the mystic sword have more punch).
The peasy grain added in post-prod is less dirty and more homogeneous thanks to a better encoding (which annihilates the parasitic tingling as it passes), the finer details are returned more neatly (the barback is more « appetizing ») and the resolution, without excavating a substantial gap with its counterpart 1080p, brings an extra slight veil of sharpness to the background (the benefits of a DI 4K).
SON – Trick or treat?
Very vigorous (the dynamic leaps) and expansive (blood-throwing) during the violent attacks of Art the Clown, this soundtrack of great clarity remains nonetheless wise the rest of the time.
Back channels are only required to break down the signed score Paul Wiley and broadcast some atmospheric atmospheres, the LFE channel is rarely felt and the sound design is far less crazy than the work it sounds. There is no doubt that these are the limits of a budget of $250,000.
No difference in mixing between VO and VF (in catastrophic dubbing) even though the integration of voices is much more natural on the first.
CONCLUSION – Who's laughing now?
On board this ghost train that blooms good horror bis, don't make the grimace and let yourself go according to its evil mime Marceau. Murdered cruel adept at uncomplexed carnages, it presents a nightmare of clown number whose bloody high facts are even more carnivalesque in 4K Ultra HD!
And so as not to miss anything of his promising career, the limited collector edition embarks All Hallows Eve (2013, 83′, VOSTFR DTS-HD MA 2.0) and the first Terrifiing (2016, 85′, VOSTFR DTS-HD MA 5.1) in superb HD copies. Gore to laugh or what?!
Nyctalope like Riddick and with a very good hearing, I am ready to jump on physical editions and SVOD platforms. But if the quality isn't on the rendezvous, stop at the bite! #WeLovePhysicalMedia

Did you watch the whole movie? I read everywhere that it was absolutely awful. Was that so horrible?
In general a film ranked gore is the goal.I confirm it is very disgusting but fun because old school makeups are really successful.
Yes, indeed, the trailer allowed for the best at this level. In fact, I like the gross re-animator way of gore, but with time I love less and less porn torture and its "losers" side with the camera that long taunts on mutilations and wounds.
Is this a quick gore way of "slashing" or is there a right to long scenes of torture? It's a long movie!
In any case it looks very successful visually and the performance of the actor who plays the clown is amazing.
There's a little bit of both to tell the truth... Sometimes it is rapid (but well graphic) murders and sometimes sadistic (and even more gore) murders that make the pleasure last! 😉
It's noted, I'll end up looking at him, turning my eyes away at times, so...
I ALWAYS watch the entire movies, whether I like it or not. In this case, it's mean and gorasse to wish! 🙂
Still not seen personally but I met the one who carried the project to get him out in France at the festivals. When I talk and read your messages, I'll have to take the time to look at it, that's for sure.
Strangely out of the scenes of sexual violence, I am increasingly insensitive to violence as I age. Unlike you, Ummagumma! I must also catch up with The Sadness, which I missed in a festival. ^^^
