The Pandemonium refers to the supposed capital of Hell where it is said that demons gather around Satan. It is to the poet John Milton that we owe this expression which appears the first time in Paradise Lostpublished in 1667 in ten parts in the « divine comedy of Puritanism ». With a grinning humour mixed with melancholy, director and artist Quarxx attacks the myth of the Hereafter and its damned. Three stories embedded in the same radical and soberly titled film Pandemonium. We were able to talk to the artist at NIFFF!

Quarxx director of Pandémonium

A plural artist who loves photography, painting and cinema alike, Quarxx has exhibited in many galleries around the world, in Paris, London, Beijing and Shanghai. The radical universe of the director cannot leave indifferent. We owe him in particular A blue sky almost perfect or Tand the gods of heaven. He presented Pandemonium at NIFFF this year and it was undoubtedly one of the best surprises of the festival.
