Damian Mc Carthy, director
McCarthy is a native of Cork County, Ireland. Her passion for horror films was born in her father's video club in the 1980s and 1990s. Before he started in the cinema, he worked as an electrician. His second feature film, Oddity (2024), marked a turning point in his career. This film has had a critical and commercial success in the United States and has won the Public Award at the South by Southwest festival as well as at the Gérardmer festival where we met Carolyn Bracken, the main actress of the film. He also realized Caveat (2020) and short films like He Dies at the End (2010). His next film will be called Hokum.
