A French-German director, Emma Benestan was born in southern France. After studying at the Fémis, she directed several short films. In parallel, she participates in the assembly of The Life of AdeleandMektoub, My Loved-Abdelative Kechiche. In 2021, she directed her first film,FragilebeforeAnimal, presented three years later at the close of Critical Week.
