A strange disease decimates the first of the cordae, with a virus whose symptoms manifest themselves by brilliant teeth of whiteness. The pandemic wins the entire planet until the more modest fortunes, forcing everyone to get rid of their least wealth...
Our interview with Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia
This new modern tale aims at an even wider audience than the continuation of The Platform who left us on the tile. So far, the film has remained confined to the American market, and a French release date is still uncertain at the time these lines are written. Although the writing was divided on the film, there is still an original approach dear to the signature of a director who entrusted us to Gérardmer must also succeed in convincing producers. From this unstable balance, Silver Fever seemed not to have completely decided on the tone to adopt between satyr and bitter sweet critic. It remains a great show that one would have liked to show more radicality, in view of the sincere questioning of a director who does not pretend to question the imbalances of the world.
Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, director
Born on January 30, 1974 in Bilbao, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia is a Spanish director and producer. In 2019, her film The Platform won a frightful success on Netflix. In 2024, his suite seemed more calibrated for the general public. The silver fever is his last film, left for the hour confined to a few festivals, like the last edition of the Gérardmer festival where we had met.
