A bitter-sweet comedy about old age and its place in society, the film unfortunately suffers from a slow pace and too timid comedic situations despite the talent of the two companions (who no longer have anything to prove in this field). Chase tends to make tons on certain scenes or on the contrary not enough; Like this curious musical parenthesis at the end of the reel. Dreyfuss gets the best out through a touching humorist character who will find a reason to get up in the morning other than swallow his dose of medication. The presence of Andy MacDowell (One day without end, Hudson Hawk, Four Mariages and burial) which illuminates with its presence a somewhat dull film despite its beautiful message of hope (never give up its dreams).
