Be careful! Presented at the Annecy 2024 festival, the animated film Rock Bottom came out yesterday in France. This trompe l'oeil biopic is a psychedelic tribute to Robert Wyatt. The animation is the terrain for sequences sublimated by the art of rotoscopy and the freedom of a river narrative centered on the sentimental frascs of the drummer of the Soft Mochin. Based on « fragments of life » This free adaptation flirts between love and decadence. Rock Bottom is a sensory journey in « Timeless soundscapes » Of all beauty. A beautiful way to reveal the existential crisis of an artist in the throes of inspiration and the frascs of a couple who beat the wing. Maria Trenor - Director
A graduate of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Sant Carles of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Maria Trenor appreciates the experimental narratives with sliced graphic styles. She is also Professor of Audiovisual Media at the School of Art and Design in Valencia and has contributed to several publications on cinema and animation in Spain.
